We aim to expand our fundamental understanding of the relationships among structure, composition, and properties of advanced inorganic materials that will prove vital in the pending energy transition and future communications strategies .


Mission
Our group uses inorganic synthesis, X-ray spectroscopy, computational chemistry, and functional device design to explore chemical bonding motifs, local structure distortions, and novel crystal structures that underpin intriguing electrochemical and optical properties.
